Ghost Wins Grammis
May 1, 2026
Ghost, led by Tobias Forge, has won the Grammis Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal for their latest album 'Skeletá'. The award was presented on Wednesday, April 29, at Annexet in Stockholm. Tobias Forge expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the creation of 'Skeletá', stating he was 'incredibly grateful' and jokingly said 'I hope, even after having been here rambling in this speech without notes, people will still want this record for all eternity'. Ghost received the award from Joey Tempest of Europe, who later shared a congratulatory message on social media. The band was nominated in six categories, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. 'Skeletá' has been a commercial success, with the band embarking on a world tour to promote the album. The win marks a triumphant end to the current cycle for Ghost, with Tobias Forge having announced a temporary hiatus from live performances.

Ghost's SKELETÁ
April 29, 2026
Ghost, led by Tobias Forge, have been a rock phenomenon for years. Their 2025 album SKELETÁ brought them to a new level of acclaim, introducing fans to a new dynamic vocalist, Papa V Perpetua. The album found success, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 last spring, the first rock album to do so since 2020. The album features several notable tracks, including "Cenotaph", which is memorable for its crunchy gallop and Perpetua's joyfully reflective and tributary tenor. The song's music video, released in December, hits different now, considering Ghost's most recent cliffhanger Chapter suggests that their former frontman may have taken a permanent vacation from the Clergy. Another track, "Peacefield", proposes that the "dawn of prosperity" has arrived, loaded with melodic metal guitarmonizing and gleefully over-the-top vocal layers. The song has been well-received by fans, with many putting their faith in Ghost's "Peacefield". The album also features "Umbra", which stars the nameless ghoul hammering the holy hell out of the cowbell, and "De Profundis Borealis", which begins with a super chill classical piano motif but propels itself with an on-the-beat, pulse-quickening slam. The top track, according to fans, is "Lachryma", which has come through as the choicest cut off SKELETÁ. The song expertly weaves Eighties-era metal riffage with Ghost's signature ghoulish popcraft, making it one of their best tracks, across the board, and damn-near perfect.

Tobias Forge Stalking Case
April 3, 2026
A woman in her 40s has been charged with harassment for allegedly stalking Ghost frontman Tobias Forge. According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the stalking case has become an active investigation by police. Details surrounding the case suggest that the woman regularly sent the rock star a series of long texts, physical letters, and a package containing a cell phone all between July and October last year. She also attempted to contact Forge through a number of payment requests. Investigators assert that Forge "experiences the perpetrator's contact attempts and actions as offensive, intrusive and invasive." Forge shared lengthy messages praising him through normal text messaging and WhatsApp with law enforcement. After he blocked her number, she switched to the physical letters sent as registered mail. The previously mentioned phone seemed to be the last straw, causing Forge to bring the device straight to police after he felt it looked suspicious. He reportedly told police that he "didn't want to keep [the phone] in my home so I put it on the balcony before I handed it in to the police." "I feel quite reserved around people trying to contact me, but over the years I've had about a dozen stalkers. However, no one has done anything as invasive and downright threatening as sending a mobile phone. It wouldn't have been so good if I lived at a secret address, for example. With that phone, I reached my limit. " "I've had devoted pursuers before, most of them are pretty harmless, but there's something about this that's odd." Though Forge claims he doesn't remember ever meeting the woman in question before, police report that the woman's recollection of events is drastically different. According to the woman, she met Forge 16 years ago and had been messaging each other daily through various messaging apps. She also said she and Forge have been engaged since September last year, though she declined to show proof of those communications when asked to do so by police. Not wanting to "make her life worse," Forge is apparently not seeking monetary compensation as a result of the charges. He just wants "her to leave me alone and not hurt anyone else." The case is ongoing, and the woman is also charged with unlawful stalking, sexual assault, and multiple counts of assault against two other individuals.

Rock Meets Theater
March 27, 2026
On March 27, the World Theater Day is celebrated, and to commemorate this occasion, we will review the most diverse and formidable ways in which rock and metal have merged with theater to portray rage, fears, fantasy, and more than just aesthetic adornment. From Alice Cooper's guillotine to Ghost's ritual and Kiss's flames, the show must go on. The concept of combining rock music with theater has been a long-standing tradition, with pioneers like Alice Cooper, who created a world that still exists decades later, capable of provoking shock in audiences. Cooper's concerts are a perfect blend of music and narrative performance, with feuds, death, and redemption all taking place on stage. The influence of horror movies, Grand Guignol, and other forms of theater has transformed the stage into an immersive experience. Other notable examples include David Bowie, who demonstrated his ability to reinvent himself through various characters, such as Ziggy Stardust. Pink Floyd, known for their massive stage productions, created an experience that was both musical and theatrical. Marilyn Manson, a self-proclaimed heir to Alice Cooper's legacy, took the concept of provocation to the next level, incorporating elements of theater and performance art into his shows. King Diamond, with his impressive vocal range, has brought horror stories to life on stage, transforming his concerts into a form of musical theater. Ghost, with their theatrical approach to music, has created a unique experience that combines rock music with a sense of mystery and intrigue. The band's use of elaborate stage sets, costumes, and narrative storytelling has elevated their live performances to a new level. Other notable mentions include Ayreon, a project that combines rock music with science fiction and theater, and Jesus Christ Superstar, a classic rock opera that has become a staple of musical theater. Kiss, known for their over-the-top stage productions, has been a major influence on the development of rock theater, with their use of pyrotechnics, makeup, and elaborate costumes. The Who, with their rock operas such as Tommy and Quadrophenia, has also made significant contributions to the genre. The band's ability to create complex, narrative-driven music has inspired countless other artists to explore the possibilities of rock theater. In conclusion, the intersection of rock music and theater has given birth to some of the most iconic and enduring performances in the history of music. From Alice Cooper's guillotine to Ghost's ritual and Kiss's flames, the show must indeed go on, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this exciting and ever-evolving genre.
