Meliora

Meliora —Latin for 'better'— is considered by fans and critics as Ghost's crowning achievement. Produced by Klas Åhlund alongside Tobias Forge, the album was released in August 2015 and debuted at #1 in Sweden, with strong positions in several European countries. Its single "Cirice" —a song about loneliness and belonging, with a powerful riff and cathartic chorus— won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance in February 2016, making Ghost the first Swedish band to win a Grammy in that category. Meliora is the perfect balance between the ritual darkness of the early years and the melodic accessibility that would define the band's future.
